Breakfast is undoubtedly our favorite meal, so this morning we set out to find magic on a plate, which was easily found at the Denver Biscuit Company.

It's a hipster-vibin' place that combines three restaurants in one.

They have a myriad of choices sure to leave both your eyes and mouth watering. Their wholesome breakfasts can be described as nothing but brilliant simplicity.

For me, the Franklin: a piece of fried chicken coated in cheddar cheese, bacon, runny egg yolk, and sausage gravy, all between a fluffy biscuit.

Fir him, the Three Run Double: a hamsteak with eggs, and a biscuit with raspberry jam that tastes like pie filling!

All paired perfectly with black coffee and a Supermosa.

In theory, one could share...

...but who would want to?

The gravy is so good, I suggest you order an extra side for proper smothering. Feeling invigorated from the meal, we wandered around and found ourselves locked into a serious game of jumbo chess, which ended, of course, in a draw due to the grandeur of our wits and, 'ahem', pride ;)

Which all in all amounted to a perfectly swell morning out! Do give it a go!
